The Rocky Outcrop Writers are Pip Adam, Kirsten McDougall, and Ashleigh Young. They are touring towns in the lower North Island of New Zealand in March 2013.

Pip Adam 

Pip Adam’s first collection of short stories, Everything We Hoped For, was published by Victoria University Press in 2010 and won the 2011 NZSA Hubert Church Best First Book Award for Fiction. Pip was awarded a 2012 NZ Arts Foundation New Generation Award in 2012.

Kirsten McDougall

Kirsten McDougall’s debut novel, The Invisible Rider,  was published by Victoria University Press in August 2012. Kirsten was the winner of the ‘short’ section of The Long and Short of It story competition in 2011.

Ashleigh Young

Ashleigh Young’s first collection of poetry, Magnificent Moon, was published by Victoria University Press in 2012. Ashleigh was the winner of the 2009 Landfall Essay Competition and the recipient of the 2009 Adam Foundation Award in Creative Writing for her collection of essays.
